Exercising is a requirement for our healthy and overall wellbeing, while most people have the right setting for a proper start, others not so much. I want you to know that starting an exercise without any experience can be confusing, tedious and downright difficult, but it doesn’t have to be that way.Like when I first started working out, it was a bit challenging but then, with commitment I was able to pull through. Commitment makes the difference, if you really want to start working out, then your lack of experience will soon be a thing of the past once you begin. You don’t need to be afraid or bothered about mistakes, take your time, build your stamina, know the basic and become a guru. As a beginner, the actions below can help you curb the fear to a healthier lifestyle as you begin your exercise journey.
Check your health
The first step you need to take is for you to visit your physician and get a thorough examination of your health. Your health status will determine if you can get involved in strenuous activities or not. This routine is essential for you as a beginner. It helps you and your trainee know the kind of exercise you should get involved in, especially if you have any health issues.
Set realistic goals and make a plan
As a beginner, you don’t need to start up your exercise routine in a problematic way, try to make a convenient plan, and set realistic goals for yourself. Starting your workout with a realistic target will go a long way to lead you to success. When you start small and conveniently, with time, you will begin to get used to the exercise, and your goals will gradually improve.
Make it a habit
It’s not enough to just set goals; you need to make exercising your habit, so your goals can be achievable. For instance, you can decide to make it a habit to exercise first thing in the morning, and also after work. As a mother and a wife, i have formed the habit of exercising to maintain a healthy lifestyle and my curves, so I make sure I juggle very well between my family and exercise. When you make it a habit, you would realize just how good you will become at exercising, and you will begin to enjoy every bit of it.
As a beginner, you need to have lots of fluid in your system, so you don’t get dehydrated and tired quickly. Exercise is something you can decide to do for ten to fifteen minutes. If you get dehydrated quickly, you might not be able to complete your exercise routine. So it is advisable to stay hydrated often.
Motivation is the key to a successful exercise, and the key to staying motivated is for you to have fun while exercising. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing, then there’s every possibility that you would quickly lose interest in exercising. It can be annoying to stick to one particular kind of exercise all the time. You can add a few other activities to your exercise routine. And to make exercising more interesting, you can get a friend to join you or join a yoga class or visit a gym and exercise with a group of people. It keeps you motivated and do-not forget always to do what you love because it makes you yearn for more.
Starting an exercise routine can be challenging at first, but following the steps mentioned above; it is going to be easier for you. Have it in mind that you have lots of activities to choose from, so select the exercise that you love and is convenient for you.
Try to also watch your diet while exercising, because that is one thing my trainer brought to my knowledge when I started working out. Also know that you must not lose weight while working out if you don’t want to, just try and maintain your curves. I focus more on my curves because I don’t ever want to lose shape. Start slowly, and with time when you begin to adjust to exercising, you will increase your pace and goals. But for now, have fun with the little you can do and try always to rest your body.
